K12 Education 2018: Involving more Teacher- Student Communication
The revolution underway in the K-12 sector has brought a shift in the approach of learners towards a more quality-driven education.

Change is the only thing constant and reviving old methods with the new ones call for a revolution. This is the change we are yearning to witness in the Education sphere since ages. Let’s be more specific talking about Education in general. Expectations tend to increase, especially when 2017 happened to be an effective year in K12 Education witnessing tremendous growth and technological advances taking place.

The revolution underway in the K-12 sector has brought a shift in the approach of learners towards a more quality-driven education. The tremendous growth we have witnessed in the last couple of years and are also about to experience in the next couple of years could be attributed to this shift in approach and mindset.

We are keeping our hopes even higher in 2018 and with the rapidly changing technology; it sure will be the most exciting years for the education industry as it continues to make its mark on K-12 learning.

Here are the five trends we expect to shape K-12 growth in 2018.

Digital classrooms

As classrooms are becoming more and more digital, there is a need for digital and audio-visual assets to align with the content in the textbooks. Further, there is a growing realization that there is a dire need of an interdisciplinary approach to be inculcated in children from an early age. There is growing trend for schools to prefer integrated solutions where textbooks, digital resources and assessments are all aligned to enable a superior and easier teaching-learning experience.

Convenient learning

Learning is no more restricted to a place or time; anytime and anyplace that suits the student is a good time to learner. The world of technology and mobile applications has made it possible for services like MyPedia Home App and Byju’s to be carried around on a mobile phone or a tablet.

Data driven instruction

Just as it promises to revolutionize every sector in the future, data is set to change the face of education. Using technology and smart assessments it has now become possible to generate and analyses vast amounts of learner data and figure out learning gaps and opportunities. Teachers are increasingly able to access far deeper information about students than was ever possible even 3 years ago. This will give rise to smarter, more effective instruction in the future.

Emergence of eLearning

Learning plays an important role in explaining difficult subjects by breaking them down into info graphs, 3D structures and explaining the problem in a form of animated story or simplifying it in language, which will be easy for students to grasp. Right from gaming, learning new language, new methods of solving mathematical problems through tutorials and direct interaction with teachers has been simplified.

Even though India has achieved a certain level in education, students still lags behind when it comes to showcase their skill in real life scenarios. Educationalist must find solutions to provide quality education and prepare students to face any challenges that life throws at them. Schools are there to guide students and provide them a way to participate and work in society.

There is a lot in stored for students as well as teachers to explore and bring about the changes required, replace the old teaching methods with technologically driven classroom techniques.

And who knows 2018 might just that be year where expectation meets reality!
