What attracted you towards Franchising?

Franchising allows a brand to achieve rapid growth within a short period of time. There has been an advent of brands being attracted to the franchising business.  “What attracted us was the experience of running schools and having the largest intellectual repository in India”, said Bindu Rana, CEO, The Millennium Schools. The brand foresees a faster growth with market penetration esp. in tier II and III towns. What is your business vision and how do you plan to achieve it in next five years?

The business vision is to have a school in every district of India. Plan to have 100 franchise institutes in the next five years

How is your brand scaling up the franchising business in the K12 sector?

Our brand believes in ensuring each and every franchise school becomes successful and the most sought after school in the location. This is our key business mantra to scale up since successful franchisees attract more prospective investors.

Why K12 education segment has become a hot spot among investors?

The K-12 segment is a recession proof business and has the largest market within education. Once established a school runs from one generation to the next with very limited marketing support. It is also one of the most respectable businesses. 

Being one of the key players in the K12 space, how are you taking charge for K12 revolution?

MWS has been at the forefront of all new innovation in academics and extra-curricular activities. The education system needs to change at all levels and our focus is on curriculum and training the facilitators and creating new tools for teaching and learning.

What innovations have you introduced in the last one year?

As a team we have always been the first one to innovate and be ahead of the curve. Our curriculum called the millennium learning system has impacted more than 20 k children and every year we upgrade and add a new element in the curriculum. To enhance children’s talent, we have a unique talent development programme (TDP) that is caters and prepares the students with skills and  make  them ready for the future. We have also built a unique online teacher training programme that is one of a kind  and upgrades the teachers skills.

Where the next opportunity lies in K12 segment and how are you planning to tap it?

The opportunity lies in smaller towns and districts of India where there is a thirst for a good school as parents are forced to send their children to boarding schools.

How are you making the institute future-ready?

We know that to manage scale and numbers we will need to depend upon technology.  We also want to ensure quality. Hence our focus is to make technology do all the repetitive, day to day  work through technology  yet make our experts skilled in the soft and humane areas that affect and impact the lives of  our teachers and students.
