Patanjali forays into dairy products section
With products like cow milk, curd, buttermilk and cheese, the company aims to earn revenue of Rs 500 crore by the end of this fiscal year.

Baba Ramdev's Patanjali has announced its foray into the dairy products section and expects the segment to generate revenue of Rs 1,000 crore by 2020. With products like cow milk, curd, buttermilk and cheese, the company aims to earn revenue of Rs 500 crore by the end of this fiscal year.

Patanjali has collaborated with around 56,000 retailers and vendors to supply milk across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan. It is expecting to produce 10 lakh litres of cow milk every day in the financial year 2019-20.

The packed milk will be sold for Rs 40 per litre, instead of the current market rate of Rs 42 a litre.

The company said that it will begin selling dairy products in Tetra pack and also have plans to launch flavoured milk. Through these new launches, Patanjali will provide employment to around 5 lakh people next year.

Apart from dairy products, the yoga-guru led company will launch a range of products such as frozen vegetables like peas, sweet corn, mixed vegetables and French fries, urea free cattle feed, packaged drinking water Divya Jal and solar panel production. Divya Jal will be available in pack size of 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 litre, 2 litres, 5 litres and 20 litres.
