NetMeds.com forays into mRetail; eases online medicine purchase
The NetMeds mobile app offers easy access to prescription drugs across India, offering access to the most up-to-date and affordable drugs for health maintenance.

The Dadha Group owned NetMeds.com, India’s first e-marketplace for Pharma is all set to offer medicine delivery across the country through its newly launched mobile app, easing online purchase of prescribed medication.

This app could be downloaded on any Android or Apple device, enabling users to validate their prescriptions, learn about availability of various medicines and even compare prices of the drugs.

Commenting on the matter, Pradeep Dadha, CEO, Netmeds said, “This is an important milestone for Netmeds.com as well as being a giant leap forward in the war against chronic disease. Through the mobile app, we aim to reach out to the millions of people living in non-metro areas, where access to many drugs, until now has been limited and difficult.”

Significantly, the app makes the entire Netmeds.com catalogue of over 50,000 SKU’s available to everyone with a valid prescription and a smart phone. Consumers will now have 24/7 access to the most up-to-date and affordable drugs for health maintenance, ordered online and delivered across the country. The company has tied-up with India Post to provide delivery services.

The app will also maintain the records of the medicine ordered and due for refill and gives reminder to the buyer, ensuring no gap in the medication process. Once a user has uploaded their prescription, it is carefully examined by the company's pharmacists, to ensure only required amount of consumption, duration of the consumption and other essential points of validity, to determine further the best possible outcome for the patient. Once validated it becomes a ‘cloud-stored and retrievable document’, which is important not only for refill purposes but also in the course of overall health maintenance management.

The app will give an opportunity to prescription medication users to select their required medications from over 260 drug categories for the Chronic Conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension and Cholesterol Control.
