Dubai’s Cocoona Centre of Aesthetic Transformation, Betting Big on India
Over the last few months, the company has been investing in building its centre in GK 2, New Delhi, putting together a strong team of doctors, along with investing in top-of-the-line infrastructure.

Cocoona Centre for Aesthetic Transformation today announced its plans for India, at the launch of its Delhi centre. The Dubai-based aesthetic and cosmetic clinic is adopting a two-pronged approach: it will establish plastic and cosmetic surgery centres in key metropolitan cities such as Mumbai; parallel to this it will open exclusive hair-transplant clinics in tier II and III cities, such as Nagpur, Meerut, and Chandigarh, this financial year.

Over the last few months, the company has been investing in building its centre in GK 2, New Delhi, putting together a strong team of doctors, along with investing in top-of-the-line infrastructure. The focus of Cocoona is to build a boutique aesthetics centre where safety and quality take priority.

Actress Gauahar Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest, and said at the launch: “Aesthetic and cosmetic surgery is primarily associated with looking younger, but in reality, it is much more than that. Indeed it is that part of medicine that gives many people hope, sometimes a new life, and some even the confidence to step out of their houses. Burn and acid attack victims, those with birth abnormalities, breast cancer patients, I can go on.”

Speaking on his plans for India, Dr Sanjay Parashar, Consultant Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon and founder of Cocoona Centre for Aesthetic Transformation said, “With setting up a practice in India, I have focussed on three aspects: getting the best possible and most qualified and experienced team; establishing state-of-the-art facilities; patient education with a view to spread knowledge about safety and best practices when it comes to aesthetic treatments, both non-invasive and surgical. My team from Dubai has joined us here today, and it’s an honour to be able to share the stage with such a great team. We are shortly opening in Mumbai too, after which we will begin operations in three smaller cities, specifically with hair transplant services. We have put together smaller teams, specialized teams for these.”

India is among the top five countries in the world in the beauty and wellness sector, in terms of spend and potential. While globally the industry is growing at a CAGR of 15 per cent annually, in India, it is growing at 18.6 per cent.

Dr Sapna V Roshni, Medical Director and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Cocoona Delhi, said, “The objective behind Cocoona’s wellness and surgical treatment is to bring out the best a person can possibly be. Our clinics are personal sanctuaries, where people can talk about their deepest aesthetic insecurities, receive counseling, and only if required, opt for treatment. The new, state-of-the-art clinic has the most advanced technology for the best outcomes. We focus on a private and comforting environment, with a minimum exposure to risks.”
