​Adidas to bring domain experts from global team to run operations in India
The most recent to join the ranks is Sean Van Wyk from Adidas South Africa, who will take charge as senior marketing director of the Adidas brand in India.

Indians' growing penchant for an active lifestyle has urged German sportswear maker Adidas to bring in domain experts from its global team to run operations in India.

The most recent to join the ranks is Sean Van Wyk from Adidas South Africa, who will take charge as senior marketing director of the Adidas brand in India. 

He will be replacing Damyant Singh Khanoria, who has joined iPhone maker Apple as marketing and communications lead.

Dave Thomas, Md, Adidas Group India, said, "South Africa and India have many similarities in terms of the sportswear market. 

Running, athleisure and football are growing categories here and Sean with his strong domain knowledge of the same can bolster these segments."

Other leaders who have been roped in from the German sneaker group's global talent pool are Abhishek Lal, senior director e-commerce from Dubai, Manish Sapra, senior director retail from Malaysia and Silvia Tallon, senior director marketing of Reebok from Spain.
