Job postings by Indian corporates registered an uptick in January 2019, breaking the lull witnessed in 2018.

The year 2019 has started on a record-breaking note when it comes to demand for talent in India. An in-depth data analysis of hiring trends by TimesJobs RecruiteX has shown a phenomenal 29% Y-o-Y growth, and 6%M-o-M growth in talent demand posted by corporate India in January 2019.

TimesJobs RecruiteX is a monthly report that records the hiring sentiments at India Inc.

The highest number of jobs in January 2019 were posted in the BFSI sector, followed by IT/Telecom and Healthcare sectors, respectively.

The TimesJobs RecruiteX January 2019 report reveals that Customer Services/Tele Calling, IT/Telecom and Marketing & Advertising were the top three most in-demand job profiles. The increase in talent demand on M-o-M basis in Customer Services/Tele Calling (20%up) was sharper than IT/Telecom profiles (10% up).

A location-wise analysis of job posting revealed that most jobs were posted in Bengaluru and Indore, followed by Mumbai and Pune. Among the metro cities, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai followed Bengaluru as the top hiring locations in India.

The analysis of job postings by experience level in the RecruiteX January 2019 report reveals that freshers and professionals with less than 2 years of experience were most in demand by recruiters. This was followed by professionals with experience of 5 - 10 years.
