Smart water metering solutions firm 'Smarterhomes Technologies' expands to 3 new cities

Smarterhomes Technologies, a utility automation company that provides smart water metering solutions, expands its presence across three new cities, including  Pune, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This is in line with the company’s committed plans to establish its footprint in Tier 1 cities across India by 2020.

With this launch, Smarterhomes will be functional in 7 cities, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Coimbatore.

Started by Kasturi Rangan and Vivek Shukla in 2014, Smarterhomes empowers individual users to monitor, control and optimize their water consumption in real-time.

Smarterhomes’ core product ‘WaterOn’ is a robust solution that measures water consumption in individual apartments. WaterOn, an IoT product, is an automated smart water meter offering accurate metering, leak prevention, and long life. It’s the only end-to-end solution providing real-time readings to the consumers to help them prevent wastage and save money.

Funded by Macquarie Bank Ltd, London, Smarterhomes has installed 15000 meters across Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The company also has a presence in South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand, the Middle East, and African region.
