Strengthening its presence further, Mahindra First Choice Services (MFCS), India’s multi-brand car workshop company has opened three new franchise workshops in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry region.

The three workshops, which were inaugurated by YVS Vijay Kumar, CEO MFCS, are located in Puducherry, Chidambaram and Villupuram. MFCS now has eight workshops in TN and Puducherry region. With these new centres, the brand now operates 34 workshops across the country. Recently, the company also crossed the 200,000 car servicing milestone.

On its ongoing expansion plans, the CEO of the company, said, “With its large car population, the Chennai region was the logical choice for us to strengthen our workshop network. We already have a strong presence here with three Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) workshops and one Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated (FOFO) workshop. With their knowledge of the local market, our new franchisees at Puducherry, Chidambaram and Villupuram will help us further build on our existing presence.”

“This also resonates with our long term strategy of expansion via the FOFO route. We plan to launch another 10 FOFO workshops in the coming quarter in Tamil Nadu and are actively looking for partners in Coimbatore, Madurai and other clusters in the state. Nationally, we intend to close the fiscal with 100+ FOFO workshops. This will help us enhance the scale and depth of our operations and enable us to reach a greater number of potential customers across the country,” he added further.

The company offers a simplified business model in multi-brand car servicing with a robust supply chain for spare parts through its cluster warehouse. Each cluster warehouse supplies parts as per the daily requirements of FOFO and COCO centres, thus reducing the need to maintain huge inventories at workshops.
