Goa Portuguesa, India’s definitive coffee table format designer, after Mumbai has now reached Chennai with an aim to lure the taste buds of people. The launch of the first Chennai outlet took place in a goan bungalow ambiance, wherein business tycoons, actors and foodies of Chennai were present. The brand already holds its presence in Mumbai.
The food items on the menu at the restaurant range from Goan delicacies such as Prawns in mango curry, Chicken Cafreal and Fish Balchao, to desserts such as Dodol and Bibinca. Award-winning Tender Coconut Kaju Sukhi bhaji is also an item served at Goa Portuguesa Restobar. Suhas Awchat, founder, Goa Portuguesa, said: “We have been planning to serve Bangalore and Dubai. We would reach there through the franchise route.”
Since 1988, Goa Portuguesa has focused on developing one of the highest quality restaurant operations in the industry and delivering value every day to its guests and employees. Goa Portuguesa dishes out an array of authentic Goan spread which is modified and standardised to suit the urban platter. However the authentic taste of the delicacy remains untouched. The group’s other ventures include Diva Maharashtracha, and Dakshin Culture Curry restaurants.
