Why and What is Needed to Develop the Business Related Solutions for Startups in Chandigarh?
The common business-related problems faced by the startups in Chandigarh and how to solve them. Read on...

According to an online survey, a lot of graduates in Chandigarh face the lack of guidance especially in the field of entrepreneurship journey.

Flipkart’s co-founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, who are from Chandigarh started their venture in Bangalore and Kapil Dev, who belongs to Chandigarh started his venture ‘Kapil Dev’s Eleven’ out of Chandigarh; these are a few examples which justifies the output of the survey.

Here are some of the common business-related problems faced by the startups in Chandigarh, that the online survey points out:

Resistance from the government: Chandigarh faces a lot of resistance from the government side, which according to the online survey does not conduct enough seminars and meeting to help the youth to initiate their own business.

Lack of awareness: The survey points out that a lot of youth are willing to become entrepreneurs but do not want to see themselves as startup owners because they lack the basic knowledge about the entrepreneurship and startups.

Lack of guidance: The survey reveals that there are not enough seniors, who belong to the business fraternity, who can provide the proper guidance and help in solving business-related problems faced by the aspiring entrepreneurs and startup owners.

No startup ecosystem: In the survey, a lot of youth have shown concern over the ‘no startup ecosystem’, which is there in Chandigarh. If not a senior to guide through this topsy-turvy entrepreneurial journey, there is no startup ecosystem, where discussions can be carried out regarding the common problems faced by all the first-timers.

Here are some of the business-related solutions for the aspiring entrepreneurs and startups in Chandigarh:

Help from the government: It is the government’s job to inform all the policies and steps that are being taken to eradicate the unemployment problem of the country. Youth especially those belonging to lower strata of society depend on government policies to get help for funding and how to generate ideas in order to start their own business. Hence, first and foremost the local government should take the initiative to encourage the youth and provide a platform where they can unite and help each in solving the queries.

Recently, Finance minister, Arun Jaitley has launched a new portal to approve loans for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The new portals will fast-track the process of approving the funding up to Rs 1 crore to MSMEs within 59 minutes without visiting the branches.

Participation of Private Players: Other than the government, private players too can take advantage of the situation and start organizing seminars, meetings, shows, and events to help the directionless youth. Private organizations should bring forth a platform and invite senior entrepreneurs, who can come to help and provide business solutions for the startups in Chandigarh. The existing startups and entrepreneurs can develop a ‘startup ecosystem’ where they can share each other’s challenges and help in funding potential ideas.
