Vanesa care signs licensing deal with Cartoon network; launched Denver Superman Deo
Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the licensing and merchandising arm of media conglomerate Turner International India has forayed in Personal Care space with Vanesa Care, leading manufacturer of Denver and Envy deos.

Cartoon Network Enterprises and Vanesa Care have signed an undisclosed amount of licensing deal recently. With the new partnership, Vanesa Care has also launched its first ever ‘DENVER Superman’ Deodorants in India, yet to be seen on personal care product’s shelf in retail outlets.

Enwrapped with aromatic woody fragrance, Denver Superman deo aims to capture young and ambitious college students and professionals.

Commenting on the matter, Saurabh Gupta, CMO, Vanesa Care said, "Our vision is to focus on innovation and always offer world class product, which has never been introduced in the Indian market before. It is all about understanding the Indian consumer’s needs and offer them the best. We will continue to expand our product portfolio by increasing the number of relevant products in the market.”

Imbibing the characteristics of Superman, Vanesa Care aims to be the leader in Personal Care segment in India and across the global market, wherever the brand is dealing, said Gupta.

Meanwhile, Siddharth Jain, SVP and Managing Director – South Asia, Turner International India, added, “Cartoon Network Enterprises has recently been appointed as the Master Licensee for the Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) portfolio for South Asia. This deal with Vanesa Group will expand the WBCP brands and Superman into new and exciting categories and draw consumer excitement.”

Leading Personal Care Company Vanesa Care is known for its deodorants range including Denver, Envy, Envy 1000, Vanesa, Fairtone, Fairplay, Action Replay, Nostrilin and Banitch. The company offers leading and trusted brand that specializes in a wide variety of categories including deodorants, perfumes, shaving foam, skin care and hair care range.

Significantly, even after tough market competition, its Denver deo has been performing consistently and growing at 35 per cent year-on-year with innovation across category.

When asked about the terms of the licensing deal, Gupta said, “The duration is for the long term association. We have gone through all the International standard level tests to deal with Cartoon Network,”

Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the licensing and merchandising arm of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, is responsible for building world-class licensing programs across its franchises including Ben 10, Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Mixels, and other Cartoon Network and Adult Swim originals.
