Utilizing The Power Of Health Education In Workplace
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” saying says it all where prevention is better than cure.

India is witnessing the change in focus from a disease care system to a preventive one. Keeping the workplace trend in mine, franchisors are introducing health education offering proper knowledge about how and why to stay fit and healthy.

The education is branching out its reach to various sectors, increasing the awareness and enhancing the productivity education offers. Franchisors are combining the area of health promotion with health education, which is an emerging market in today’s business industry.

Why health education?

The purpose of education is no more restricted to a specific cause. It is more than just weight loss programs or to run smoking cessation. Franchisors are utilizing the education tool for creating awareness at the workplace, motivating a healthy lifestyle.

Wellness Programs

One of the key factors that fuel unhealthy choices is time. We live in a world that is constantly on the move and that is perhaps why corporate wellness programmes are becoming increasingly successful in preventing illnesses and helping to keep employees healthier and happier.

Rather than having to search for answers to your health outside of working hours, employers are now bringing health educators and wellness coordinators to the worksite so that healthy learning is more accessible.

Education improving the productivity

But what does health education in the workplace actually mean? Well, it’s a simple way to educate everyone about promoting your own health and wellbeing. A health educator’s goal is to not just educate, but also motivate and inspire to take your health into your own hands and show you that prevention is easier than trying to find a cure.

With each workshop and seminar, it’s an opportunity to learn about practical ways to improve your health. Health educators will often cover a variety of topics such as stress management, diabetes, cholesterol, exercise, yoga, and nutrition. Along with health education, wellness coaching is also available to provide more personalized and one-on-one approach to balancing health.
