The Indian Food and Beverage industry is valued at around INR 43,000 crores where the café or coffee shop business accounts for around 20-25%. The average annual growth that this industry sees is of around 30-35% where the business has a lot of future potentials as well owing to the fact that the market is moving towards the urbanization at a decent pace.
In conversation with FranchiseIndia.com, Adarsh Vijayan, managing Partner, UniqueBrew Hospitality Pvt Ltd. at Master Franchise Show 2018, he expresses the immediate franchise opportunity he is offering, is a Master Franchise for UniqueBrew at Delhi NCR.

The Gujarat based café restaurant has 23 outlets pan India and the future goals are set to open at least 120 outlets more via the franchising model.
Vijayan says, “Our USP is that we provide a Chef Support guarantee on all the franchise setups. We are basically into café and restaurants, we have a mix of café + restaurants and are also open for company-operated models that will be run by UniqueBrew itself. So, these are the 4 models we are working into.”

On being asked about his views on why does he think franchising is an ideal model for brand expansion, Vijayan shares, “Basically while looking for expansion a Company won’t be able to invest everywhere they want to because the monetary part is highly important. So, the best way to expand and spread name is through Franchise where if you can delegate people as a Master Franchise.”
He says, “A Master Franchise for every state will create some accuracy and create a development over every state. So, the company doesn’t have to involve in every scenario and can focus on the quality and support they want. The parent company will be mainly focusing on developing the franchise and maintaining the quality.”
Franchising Benefits
Vijayan also explains the franchising benefits, UniqueBrew is going to offer to the franchisees by saying, “The main USP is to provide the Chef’s support guarantee. In the F&B industry, we have seen that people lose business and go down just because of the chef’s part. So, what we have thought is any particular person without F&B background who wants to take up our franchise is capable enough to run the show without any support by providing them with the Chef Support guarantee.”
The company also offers replacement guarantee, which means if the chef due to some problem fails to deliver the desired result or does not want to continue to work with that particular franchisee due to any reason whatsoever, the company will immediately replace the chef with another equally skilled and properly trained chef.
