SkillUp Online Partners with NASSCOM to empower Indian working professionals and students
The ongoing digitizations of new-age technologies are creating a massive skill gap in the IT-ITES industry. According to an estimate, out of the 4.5 million professionals employed in the industry today, around 1.5 to 2 million professionals will require reskilling in the coming four to five years. This is over and above the increasing demand for professionals in the horizontal market because of digitization.
SkillUp Online, one of India’s leading on-demand learning platforms, has recently signed an MoU with NASSCOM Sector Skills Council for the NASSCOM FutureSkills portal. This partnership will enable SkillUp Online to empower Indian current and future working professionals with industry-leading courses (including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Technologies, Cyber Security, Blockchain etc.) certified by NASSCOM. NASSCOM envisions meeting the rapidly increasing demand in order to support and accelerate India’s global rise in the digital domain.
JPS Kohli, CEO SkillUp Group said, “We’re extremely delighted to join hands with NASSCOM for its FutureSkills project. At SkillUp Online, our vision is to create an empowered society that isn’t restricted by the conventional means of learning. This vision enables us to curate dedicated knowledge resources on various industry-leading topics, thereby empowering young India to skill up according to their individual needs. Our partnership with NASSCOM helps us put these resources in the hands of both college students and professionals who want to climb the corporate ladder and shape their professional careers.”
Amit Aggarwal, CEO NASSCOM SSC said, “SkillUp Online’s charter in the future skills space is in perfect alignment with the idea of the NASSCOM FutureSkills initiative. We really like SkillUp Online’s approach towards digital learning and upskilling both current and upcoming workforce with the skills of tomorrow.”
Initially, SkillUp Online will be launching Foundational Learning programs on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, these learning programs will build foundational skills and help students as well as working professionals across various industries. The platform will also be launching NASSCOM-certified learning programs for upskilling initiatives across Consumer, Business and Academic segments.
