RPG Life Sciences partners with Italian firm to take a dig at the cosmetics business

After a successful stint in pharmaceutical business, RPG Life Sciences Ltd. (RPGLS) is now spreading its wings to explore the other ventures as well. In its recent move, RPGLS has partnered with Italian cosmetic firm to Lobo Cosprophar to venture into cosmetic business which is one of the fastest growing segments of the country.

As per the pact, RPG Life Sciences will in-license two research-based products of the Italian firm and they will hit the Indian market in July. To successfully market these two products (Crescina and Fillerina), company has made two departments that will be focusing on the marketing and distribution of the products.

Crescina, designed for hair-regrowth, has nine patents worldwide, while Fillerina, a product for anti-ageing treatment, has Swiss patent . Speaking about the new tie-up, C T Renganathan, Managing Director, RPG Life Sciences Ltd. said that the company recognises the need for research-based result-oriented treatments in hair-loss and anti-ageing segments in India. Labo has a Switzerland-based research center and the experience of developing a wide range of patented products in hair, skin and body care. Their products have presence in over 33 countries including Europe, UK, US and Asia. RPG Life Sciences is confident that both these products will be ideal to fill the need gap in respective therapies.
