Pact Between TATA Power And NAREDCO Will Install 5000 EV Charging Points Across Maharashtra
The MoU was signed yesterday at The Real Estate Forum 2022 in Mumbai in the presence of Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment for the Government of Maharashtra Aaditya Thackeray.

TATA Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) yesterday 28 April 2022. This pact will install 5000 EV charging points across Maharashtra. The move will give a boost to Electric Vehicles (EV) adoption in the state.

TATA Power, India’s largest integrated power company will be providing comprehensive EV charging solutions across properties of member developers of NAREDCO. Installation, maintenance, up-gradation of charges will be done by TATA Power.

This is good news for EV owners across NAREDCO’s member developers’ properties as the EV users will have access to 24x7 vehicle charging, monitoring, and e-payments facilities through Tata Power’s EZ Charge mobile app.  The collaboration is a huge step toward reducing carbon emissions and accelerating e-mobility adoption across Maharashtra.

Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, TATA Power said, "The move will put an efficient electric vehicle ecosystem closer to the end-user, allowing us to contribute to the national aim of a rapid transition to green mobility.”

The EV chargers will be made available as public and semi-public charging stations based on the nature of the premises. This will help commuter’s easy access to the chargers, thereby encouraging them to use electric vehicles.
