In India, the company will set up 400 labs and 4000 touch points while increasing its presence from 21 labs to 100 labs and 200 to 600 touch points in Tamil Nadu.

Neuberg Diagnostics, one of the fastest growing diagnostic companies in India with its presence in USA, UAE and South Africa has decided to double its labs and touch points to 150 and 1000 respectively across the globe in the next two years.

According to Chairman of Neuberg Diagnostics and Managing Director of Trivitron Healthcare Group GSK Velu, the company will also expand in eastern Africa, western Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Germany.

In India, the company will set up 400 labs and 4000 touch points while increasing its presence from 21 labs to 100 labs and 200 to 600 touch points in Tamil Nadu.

Recently, the company has virtually opened labs in Ooty, Erode and one inside the Women's Centre by Motherhood Hospitals and will soon open labs in Pollachi and Valparai in the district and 10 other locations.

Neuberg Diagnostics brings capabilities to perform over 6,000 varieties of pathological investigations and promotes prevention and early diagnosis, focused wellness programmes and structured disease management programmes for rare diseases using the most advanced technologies assisted by data science and AI tools.

The company also provides hospital laboratory management services, preventive health checkups, corporate wellness, home health services and drive through phlebotomy services.

It offers 50 per cent concession to the needy and those holding Below Poverty Line (BPL) ration cards. Similarly, 15 to 20 per cent concession will be provided to senior citizens.

Healthcare Industry Market

The diagnostic industry in India stands INR 675 billion and is estimated to grow at a rapid annual rate of over 10 per cent over the next five years. 

It was estimated that the healthcare market can increase to 8.6 trillion by 2022. In Budget 2021, India’s public expenditure on healthcare stood at 1.2 per cent as a percentage of the GDP.  This is also expected to boost employment in the healthcare sector and generate 2.7 million jobs in 2022.

Registration And Licences

Qualification Requirement

You must be a qualified pathologist and must have the licence to practice from the Medical Council of India. You will require a biochemist, pathologist, and microbiologist. Lab technicians must have a Diploma or Bachelors’s in medical lab technology.

The lab should be spacious enough to accommodate at least 100 patients. Space planning is necessary to place things right at their place. Clubbing two or more departments performing various activities should not happen possibly that may give misplaced results or any undesirable condition.
