Mylan Pharmaceuticals announces winners of its second edition of the Mylan Hackathon

Mylan Pharmaceuticals Private Limited has announced the winners of its second edition of the Mylan Hackathon held in Bengaluru. At the two-day event, the students and professionals connected and collaborated with people at Mylan to innovate solutions that address real-world health challenges.

This year, the Hackathon teams were asked to 'Hack for a Cause' to find solutions to leading healthcare challenges such as adverse event/side effect reporting of pharmaceutical products; detection of early signs and symptoms of cancer and addressing the resource scarcity problem by automating preliminary analysis of reports; a patient's real-world outcome tracking through technology/AI; patient's adherence to TB treatment and traceability of Mylan's ARV drugs to the end consumer.

The 2018 event attracted more than 200 participants from 44 cities across India.

Ganesh Mahadevan, one of the members of the winning team, said, "This event was an exceptional learning platform for me. It allowed me to interact and collaborate with brilliant like-minded innovators to develop solutions that could have a positive impact on patients and the industry. I believe that anyone who wants to find viable solutions for health problems should participate in the Mylan Hackathon."
