Ministry Has Undertaken New Initiative On Manufacturing Competitiveness: MSME Joint Secy
MSME Joint Secy Mercy Epao urged all the entrepreneurs to follow the MSME Ministry on all the social media to know about the policy roll out and other benefits which the government provides to the small business.

We are always consulting with the industry so that we know what the pulse is and how best we can tweak our policies to make it more accessible to the entrepreneurs for benefits that the government desires to give, Mercy Epao, Join Secy, MSME said.

She urged all the entrepreneurs to follow the MSME Ministry on all the social media to know about the policy roll out and other benefits which the government provides to the small business.

Addressing the inauguration of Startup Summit 2023 organised by the Franchise India Epao said, “Kindly follow us on the social media platform where we are very active and working for the benefit of entrepreneurs. Also, look up to the website because under the digital India we have posted all the programmes we run.”

She said that contribution to the GDP is quite significant as 30 per cent comes from the MSMEs while 49 per cent of the export goes from this segment. “We employ more than 11 crore people,” she added.

She said that ministry has undertaken new initiative on the manufacturing competitiveness. “We call it a champion scheme,” she added.

“As we link in the 21st century we realise that the environment is very important and we need to take care of the process and keep in mind the green so that we do not harm the earth. For the MSMEs we have also taken into the consideration how we can help in hygiene in processes for our MSME units,” she said.

Further she added, “If you look at the innovation scheme we have sub-scheme called incubation many people have good business idea but they do not know how to create a good business model so we have identified host institutes who will incubate your idea and then create and give you.”

She said that the government is about take out green MSME scheme which under process and it is also working on circular economy.

Franchise India organised its two-day 19th International Franchise and Retail Show. This event witnessed the participation of more than 500 indigenous brands and over 100 global brands along with over 40 thousand business buyers and over 10,000 High Net worth (HNI) investors.

The two-day event started from July 15 in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, comprising more than 70 business pavilions and over 50 business leaders attended the function. The function was inaugurated by Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, MSME.
