LTFRB to open 10,000 slots for TNVS applications on Aug 24
The move will help to address the problems of slow bookings and higher fares.

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will open 10,000 slots for franchises of Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) units on August 24. The move will help to address the problems of slow bookings and higher fares, which the TNCs attributed to the lack of drivers.

Martin Delgra, LTFRB’s Chairman, said, “they hoped to fill the 65,000 vehicles common supply base that the board has set for Transport Network Companies (TNCs) operating in the country”. The website of LTFRB will open for online applications of certificates of public convenience (CPC) or franchises of TNVS.

Since it started processing of franchise applications on March 5, the board has issued 13,816 certificates of provisional authority to operate and 4,925 CPCs.
