Ivory Education welcomes new National Education Policy
Ivory Education, one of the leading Indian corporates in education, has welcomed the new National Education Policy.

Ivory Education, one of the leading Indian corporates in education, has welcomed the new National Education Policy but has recommended a focus on enhancing skills and employability while ensuring inclusive education.

The government has recently said that the new policy will be announced soon. The draft of the policy has five pillars namely accessibility, affordability, equity, quality, and accountability.

Kapil Rampal, Managing Director, Ivory Education, said, "According to a recent report by Azim Premji University, unemployment in India has reached the highest level for the past 20 years. It shows the failure of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Skill India and other high-cost initiatives by the government. The current education system is not producing professionals with enough skills to help them get employed. National Education Policy needs to address this with utmost priority."

The first NEP was announced by PM Indira Gandhi in 1968 and second by Rajiv Gandhi in 1986. Both these NEP were done at the start of the five-year term by the previous governments.
