?Healthtech startup Tiyo raises undisclosed amount in second round of seed funding
Tiyo will use the newly acquired funds to further develop their patient care technology and consolidate sales efforts.

Tiyo, Kolkata-based healthtech startup, has raised an undiclosed funding in its second round of seed funding. The company had recently managed to raise USD120k earlier this year.

The round has been led by its existing investor, Ajith Nair, Dubai based veteran entrepreneur and CEO, I-Adepto Global.

Rana Dutta, CEO and Co-founder, Tiyo, said, "The current round of funding will help us strengthen our development team based out of Bengaluru."

The startup will also use the newly acquired funds to further develop their patient care technology and consolidate sales efforts.

Tiyo which was founded in May 2015 by Rana Dutta, Sandip Bodak and Sunil Mishra, assists patients to connect with healthcare services and practitioners across India through its web and mobile platform.

Currently, the content-based platform is available in six cities and will be expanding to Delhi by 2017. The startup is currently integrating its platform to offer the other variants of its product.

Nair said, "The board is very happy with the progresses the company has made and we decided unanimously that we will lead one more round in the company before it goes for its Pre-Series A."

The company is expecting to close its Pre-Series A by early 2017.
