Franchise India, Asia’s largest integrated franchise solution provider having an absolute authority on franchising, licensing, retailing, real estate and marketing, is honored with a Silver Award for Franchise India 2010 as the Industry/Association Convention of the year category by Eventfaqs, Event and Experiential Marketing Awards 2011.

The award was presented on April 21, 2011 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The awards were held in association with Eema Event Management Company with The Advertising Club Bombay (ACB), Rural marketing association of India (RMAI), India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) the supporting industry partners.

The WOW Awards seek to celebrate excellence in the space of experiential marketing, across industries. Every event and on-ground interaction between the brand and corporate and consumer is an experience. The event was chaired by Sanjay Jain, Chief Marketing Officer, Reliance Capital.

Speaking on this occasion, Gaurav Marya, President, Franchise India Holdings Limited said, “We at Franchise India are thrilled to be lauded as Association/Industry convention of the year category award for Franchise India 2010. We will continue with our commitment towards guiding investors with the right business opportunity and strategically formed decisions.”

The jury members at the time of the show comprised names from all the industry segments. To name a few were Trivikram Thakore, GM, Corporate Marketing, Samsung India Electronics (Mobile Business); Manmeet Vohra, Marketing Director – TAG Heuer - LVMH Watch & Jewellery India Pvt. Ltd; Aparna Thomas, Director Communications, Sanofi-aventis India; Karthi Marshan, Executive VP and Head – Group Marketing, Kotak Mahindra Bank; Arvind Krishnan, Head-Marketing, Bacardi, India; Rishi Mohan Malhotra, Additional Vice President, Marketing VAS-GSM, TATA DOCOMO; Avik Chattopadhyay, CEO – India, Saffron Brand Consultants.

Few other awardees were Showworks Eventz Pvt. Ltd, winning gold in Exhibition presence of the year category with an entry title in Spice launching camera phones using WLIFW; GroupM Media India Pvt. Ltd won silver in Sports Property of the year for the entry title in Volkswagen Polo Cup India 2010; Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd won silver in Live entertainment event of the year in a foreign location category for the entry title in IIFA Awards; Cineyug media and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd won a bronze in Televised Property of the Year – Entertainment and Lifestyle for the entry title in 55th Filmfare Awards 2009 and The Mudra Group won A silver in the Activation Program of the Year by a media brand with on-ground connect category with the entry title in Disney Art Attack – Advertising Installations and the list is ongoing. The WOW Awards were instituted by EVENTFAQS in November 2008 to recognise excellence in events and experiential marketing.
