Establishing International Driver Training Institutes in India
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on 3rd May 2019 announced its collaboration with UAE-based Emirates driving institutes and Youth Chamber of Commerce.

It’s a dream of every entrepreneur and franchisor to run their businesses successfully, later expanding internationally. This might sound very interesting but it’s one of the toughest things to do as business owners.

Business owners need to invade an entirely new market which they are not familiar with. From trends to customers’ behavior, things might vary a lot as compared to the domestic market they actually belong to. These issues eventually emerge as major roadblocks that entrepreneurs and business owners need to deal with in order to register their brands successfully in the international market.

Since the market is completely unfamiliar, there might be several challenges along with benefits waiting for business owners while they expand their businesses internationally. Thus, a strong and effective business model along with strategies is required that could eliminate the risk factors, eventually smoothing out the expansion journey of the brand.

Emirates Driving Institute to Enter India

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on 3rd May 2019 announced its collaboration with UAE-based Emirates driving institutes and Youth Chamber of Commerce. This collaboration will lead to setting up of various driver training institutes in different parts of India.

The initiative will be promoting quality vocational training within the country, boosting business opportunities for investors that are looking to establish their own training centres in India.

According to a statement by NSDC, “The partnership will facilitate the candidates to acquire a UAE driving license, in line with the requirements of UAE's road and transport agencies as well as regulatory agencies in other parts of the Middle East.”

It is a form of public-private partnership initiative under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship that will be catalyzing the establishment of quality training institutes and centres across the country.

NSDC Joins Hands with a European Aviation Training Centre

The National Skill Development Corporation has been working constantly towards improving the skill scenario of the nation. In order to enhance the development process, NSDC had been collaborating with different training centres in order to empower Indian learners with quality education and training.

Earlier, NSDC has also collaborated with a premier European aviation training centre for setting up skill academies in India.

Manish Kumar, MD & CEO, NSDC said, “Successful candidates trained under this partnership will pass the entry screening of an Allied Domestic or International airline. We will also provide employment linkages under this partnership, which will help make skill training effective and aspirational.”

Fostering Employment Opportunities in India

Employment has always been a concern and a topic of debate in India since ages now. This is why brands that usually generate both business and employment opportunities while growing their businesses are widely accepted in India.

The collaboration of NSDC with Emirates driving institutes will help in providing employment opportunities for the Indians. This will open up gates for those who are willing to work in the UAE and other parts of the Middle East.

“Will facilitate collaboration with necessary stakeholders including states, domestic training partners and sector skill councils to operationalise the driver training institutes in India,” added NSDC.
