Technology-driven Features Aiding E-clinics to Offer Both Advanced And Emergency Care in the Near Future
From teleconferencing to implementation of EMRs, e-clinics provide and support health care to patients.

Telemedicine healthcare clinics or e-clinics are believed to bring a paradigm shift in the health sector. From teleconferencing to implementation of EMRs, e-clinics provide and support health care to patients. The Entire concept of telemedicine came into place initially to provide quality treatment to people residing in remote areas.

Technology-driven e-clinics radically reduce the cost and time of both the patients and medical professionals. Through e-clinics, thousands of people can receive quality treatment on time without having to travel from one place to another.

E-clinics connect consumers with doctors they have never met, over phone calls, video calls and EMR-based technologies according to their convenience. A well-equipped e-clinic also allows for better care in areas where medical expertise is hard to come by. Despite e-clinics witnessing a rapid growth in the western countries, not many are familiar with the concept of telemedicine in India.

E-clinics for advanced and emergency care

Using video-conferencing tool is as good as consulting a doctor in person. As long as the patients convey their problems to the doctors, treatment can be facilitated. Furthermore, the ability to transfer diagnostic information instantaneously has also paved the way for providing emergency care. In some first-world countries like the US and UK, e-clinics have successfully provided medical care to patients, requiring advanced or emergency medical care.

The use of specialized EMR or Electronic Medical Care is also revolutionizing the conventional medical practices. More accessible data will make it easy for doctors to diagnose a patient easily. The combination of better data collection and private data segregation will enable them to make more consistent decisions in terms of treatment as well as improve predictive processes. With access to the patient’s real-time medical records, the professionals can initiate the treatment process faster than ever.

More significantly, telemedicine breaks the barrier of distance. In emergency cases, patients often die midway to the hospital. Telemedicine will allow patients to get immediate care without any delay, saving lives in the process with advanced medical equipment. E-clinics are also enabling doctors to monitor their patients with chronic conditions and eliminate the need to visit doctors frequently.

The way forward for e-clinics

The telemedicine field is growing rapidly with technological advancements and more accessibility to telemedicine tools. Additionally, the digitization has helped people with access to the online platform. Telemedicine was originally created to offer treatment to patients who reside in remote places, where there are no proper health facilities and medical professionals. While e-clinics in India remain to serve this purpose, it’s becoming an effective tool for convenient health care. Overall, telemedicine is paving the way for a revolutionized health sector, eliminating the need for conventional medical practices. Needless to say, in the next few years, India will witness a burgeoning growth in the number of e-clinics.
